The year 1996 marked the beginning of an era as the gates of Bhopal Degree College opened to cater to the education need of higher education. This institution was created with an objective of providing an outstanding higher education to its students along with the programs to promote character building, leadership, extra and co-curricular activities in them with the support of a very strong, dedicated and capable team of educators.

As we are ready to set our foot in the 22nd year of functioning, it gives me immense pleasure to thank all the parents for entrusting us with the future of their wards, for entrusting us to mold and sculpt their minds, enrich their souls and ignite the spark of fruitful learning in them.

We also dedicate this coveted honor to all our students for displaying exceptional hard work in the pursuit of excellence by achieving honors and distinctions in not only academics but also in allied arenas of Science, Arts, Creativity, Sports and Debate. Their dedication and respect makes me feel proud. I take this opportunity to acknowledge the extreme hard work of our dedicated staff and faculty by working round the clock to keep our college at the zenith of success. The contribution of our Non-Teaching Staff, the backbone of the college ,is crucial in this endeavour.

I take humble pride in sharing with you that we are ready to present new building of the college in a serene campus at Bilkhiria Kalan, Raisen Road, Bhopal. It is my belief that all of you will be delighted as we unveil the college building very soon.

I find it extremely exciting and satisfying to be a member of the BDC community. As a principal, I view my role as a catalyst to provoke and draw the best of the inherent and latent potential of the BDC community. I welcome the new batch of students to grab this opportunity and to take ownership of this institution and embark on this ennobling journey of life-enhancing education.
